Sr. Financial Analyst

Details: Experience is required Key Responsibilities:  As a member of the Finance Team, the Financial Analyst performs the following functions: •         Develop and produce senior level financial reporting and analysis to support SHCN; •         Work with Director of Finance in the development and analysis of annual operating, capital budgets and long range planning; •         Provide senior level support to data analysis efforts that drive financial and operational improvements; •         Interpret financial statements, budget variances and data from accounting/financial systems, perform analysis on data, model financial decisions accordingly and report findings to senior leadership within SHCN; •         Support the improvement of standard risk/financial report design; •         Under the direction of the Director of Finance, support the financial modeling needs of SHCN leadership, including network development opportunities, distribution of infrastructure payments, and other physician payments; •         Work with the Director of Finance to implement processes and reporting to assure the accurate accounting of payments from health plans; •         Serves as senior data and analytic resource to other SHCN staff; Required Skills & Knowledge: •         Bachelor’s degree required; Masters degree preferred; •         5-7 years of experience working within a Financial Analyst role; •         Previous experience within a healthcare setting required; •         Possess strong analytic and technical skills, including a strong foundation of financial data and modeling; •         Organizational skills to  manage multiple projects through effective planning and time management; •         Knowledge of managed care concepts and the financial relationships between health plans and providers; •         Possess an understanding of payor claims data, including ICD-9 and CPT4 codes, DRGs; •         Sound verbal and written communication skills; outstanding interpersonal skills; Steward Health Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer
