Tax Analyst, Senior Job

Details: Utilizes appropriate accounting theory and principles to analyze data and recommend the resulting tax treatment while understanding impact to the business. Researches, analyzes, and utilizes applicable tax information to prepare and review related tax returns and provision calculations. Reviews monthly general ledger reconciliations and related schedules.Responsibilities* Performs analysis of various general ledger accounts to obtain information necessary to prepare or review tax returns and provisions.• Reviews tax estimates and extensions.• Reviews monthly general ledger tax account reconciliations.• Reviews monthly tax provision and quarterly deferred calculations.• Assists with responses to SOX/audit requests.• Assists with integration of new acquisitions.• Monitors tax due dates to ensure timely completion of tasks.• Participates in training and supervision of staff.• Performs tax research and prepares technical memorandums.• Performs other special projects as needed.Qualifications* BS/BA in Accounting.• CPA or working toward obtaining license.• 2-3 years public accounting or large corporate tax environment.• Demonstrates working knowledge of accounting theory and principles.• Demonstrates working knowledge of tax concepts and principles.• Very strong analytical skills.• Ability to exercise judgment on tax treatment and general business issues.• Ability to develop conclusions founded on reason, logic and interpretation.• Detects issues and develops an approach to resolve issues.• Ability to determine priorities and meet critical deadlines.• Strong written and verbal communication skills.• Strong organizational skills.• Ability to work with a team, take general directions from several sources, focus attention on details and complete projects.• Aptitude for detail and accuracy.• Strong desire to learn.• Intermediate/Advanced PC skills-Excel.• Onesource Tax Provision and/or CORPTax experience a plus.Compensation and BenefitsAlliance Data offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive selection of benefit options including 401(k).Conditions of EmploymentAll job offers are contingent upon successful completion of drug screen and background checks.About UsAlliance Data® and its combined businesses (including Epsilon® and LoyaltyOne®) is North America’s largest and most comprehensive provider of transaction-based, data-driven marketing and loyalty solutions, driving business growth and profitability for some of today’s most recognizable brands, such as HSN, J.
